Best Soft Serve Feature

Maybe you don’t know about this but Tokyo has some great soft creams and it has come down to two contenders for the title of Best Soft Cream in Tokyo.

In one corner we have Nissei’s Cremia with its years of scientific research and perfected recipe vs Milk’s sourcing of the best ingredients around Japan for this final showdown.

Nissei’s Cremia Soft Cream

Nissei’s Cremia is very well known in Japan and overseas for being a must try soft cream. It has featured heavily in many blogs and youtube videos.

So why all the type about this soft cream, can it really be as special as everyone says. Short answer, yes.

The soft cream was produced over 3 years and over 400 development trials. The main aim of Nissei’s team was to make the greatest soft cream ever 「これまでにない最高級のソフトクリームを作ろう!」 They have spent alot of time and effort into every part of the soft cream, from the soft cream to the cone to the way in which the soft cream is placed in the cone. The Japanese care and craftsmanship is beautifully represented in Nissei’s Cremia.

Winner of the iTQi award (International Taste & Quality Institute) for consecutively running years.

Where can I get it from?

Unfortunately the Tokyo main store in Shibuya no longer exists and there is no official store location site. You can find it in cafe such as Pronto and various cafes who have the Cremia sign. It’s also available at Narita Airport’s Excelsior Caffe.

There is also an official SILKREAM store in Osaka.

The Winner of Best Soft Cream in Tokyo

Nissei’s Cremia

While a close contest, Cremia is my winner of best soft cream in Tokyo for the main reason of a richer milky soft cream and the uniqueness of the Langue de chat cone matches perfectly with it.

It’s just a perfectly engineered Soft Cream from top to bottom with a keen attention to finder details other soft cream stores miss.
